Welcome

Welcome to my personal page. I’m an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Engineering, jointly appointed to the Department of Economics, at the Johns Hopkins University. I’m an environmental and resource economist studying policy design and implementation, international environmental agreements, citizen engagement in environmental protection, climate change and the electricity sector, and more.

I am on sabbatical for the 2011-2012 school year and will be serving as a AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellow. I will be working with the Environmental Protection Agency in their Office of Policy (sub-office Office of Regulatory Policy and Management) and learning a bit about how the system works when you have to actually do things instead of studying them from afar – and I may be getting my hands on some good data, too.

Course materials for classes I teach have been moved to Blackboard â„¢. This means only registered students can access them, so auditors and the otherwise interested should just drop me an email. Shared data, a cv, and links to papers are all where you would expect to find them.
